Adulting SUCKS!!!
I started my first semester of college this past August and let me tell ya...adulting sucks!! Don't get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE the freedom I have now that I'm on my own, but I never realized everything that came with it. I have to take care of things that I usually wouldn't have thought twice about having my parents handle for me. I remember within my first week, I had to go to the doctor's and I was freaking out because it was my first time going to a doctors appointment without my parents. I managed to survive, but that was just the start of having to be an adult and take care of things on my own. The most difficult part is probably buying groceries for myself, because lets face it, I'm a broke college kid. In high school, I never really worried much about money because I knew that I would work at least 3 days that week and I always had money to spend. I was knocked right on my ass pretty quickly into the semester when I realized that wasn't how it was going to be anymore.
Although the transitioning of all the little things has taken time, college has been the best experience of my life and I wouldn't trade my experience for anything! College is soooo much better than high school because it is so much more accepting and a lot less controlling. You're finally treated like an adult as opposed to a child, because lets face it, you're legally an adult now. I've made some amazing friends and we've made so many memories within just these past few months. Part of me is sad thinking about going home over Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks because I know I'm going to miss all my amazing friends I've made. All in all, adulting sucks and college is the best experience of my life!!!
